Just before 2:00 p.m. May 6th, Honolulu Ocean Safety and bystanders rescued a 46-year old surfer offshore Waikiki. The man was surfing the surf break "Canoes", when he hit his head on his board, injuring himself. Surfers assisted him and lifeguards via jet ski, brought him to shore. Medical care was transferred to the Honolulu Emergency Medical Services. EMS administered advanced life support and transported the man in serious condition to an emergency room.
